Antonia (Aline)'s Story
Grew up as Aline Gipson on 16th and Kedzie. Went to Howland Elementary, Hess Upper Grade Center (UGC), and Harrison Tech. I started at Harrison in September 1969 and was expelled from Harrison in 1970 for something someone else did and Mr. Chavis accused me. I was sent to Motley S.A. School. Got pregnant, had a daughter, got married and pregnant, had a son. Got divorced in 1979, remarried in 1980 and moved to Bloomington, Illinois. d to Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Stayed married until I divorced in 2000. Remarried in 2001 and is currently married. During that time I got a GED, Business Certificate, Associate Degree in General Administrative Business and a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. Went to a Barber College and became a licensed Master Barber and Stylist now I own my own business; Toni E's Headstrong Hair in Murfreesboro, Tennessee where I've lived for the last twenty-five (25) years.
